Fundraising Assistant / Administrator roles sit within the fundraising division and can support any of the funding streams. These roles generally handle all administration and coordination duties for the team.
Specific knowledge of CRM database such as Raiser's Edge, ThankQ and CARE are often beneficial, along with previous experience working within a fundraising environment or understanding of different fundraising streams such as individual giving, corporate, legacy, major gifts, trusts and foundations, philanthropy and grants. Fundraising assistants can cross over in a variety of teams depending on the size and structure of the organisation, most commonly they work in conjunction with the Events and Supporter Care.
Main responsibilities include: administration, preparing documents for fundraising proposals, coordination of stock and fundraising materials, dealing with telephone enquiries for the team, coordinating team meetings, communicating news between different teams, preparation of presentations, challenge event support and updating social media.
