Our staff are given 5 days paid leave to support charities of their choice through volunteering. This has had a huge uptake including Trustee roles, assisting at events and even phone and street fundraising!
Late last year staff were also given the opportunity to receive an extra 5 days paid leave to volunteer abroad during 2019 with £2,000 towards their chosen international project and/or travel and accommodation. They were required to pitch to a Dragons Den style panel on what they would do with the 2 weeks and the money.
Two members of staff pitched to volunteer for an Educational Project in Cambodia, including why they chose this cause, who they would get involved and the difference they would make. Having fought off tough competition Liz and Brigitte are due to fly to Cambodia in February with charity Globalteer working on their Helping Hands programme and we are excited to see how they get on.
If you would like to dontate towards the Helping Hands volunteer project, please visit their website here.
