Having only joined TPP within the past 3 months, I have very quickly come to realise that TPP is like no other recruitment agency. The 5 core principles of – exceeding expectations, doing the right thing, working in partnership, specialising and adapting, allows all consultants to lay down these foundations into their recruitment lifestyle.
There are 3 main aspects of TPP that have really stood out to me and makes them different to all other recruitment agencies:
TPP are a niche recruiter, only working for the non-profit sector, mirroring the way in which charities work and have embedded specialist divisions you’d find within an organisation. For example, our Marketing & Communications team evolved due to the noticed changes of charities developing in this area.
Consultants are sector specialists within the area they recruit, TPP invest heavily in training and consultants attend sector specific events to ensure their knowledge within their discipline remains current and up to date. I am therefore better able to advise candidates when they are applying for a specific role or even general advice on their long-term career plans. I have had many new candidates get in touch based on recommendations from their friends who I had initially assisted.
TPP understand that every member of staff is a significant investment, I work in partnership with our clients to build long lasting consultative relationships, ensuring that I always act in the best interest of both our candidates and our clients.
I’d strongly recommended reading our career advice and recruitment blogs including common topics that candidates and clients enquire about – for example (candidates), how to write a supporting statement. We always like to provide key materials to help aid candidates in their application and build on this by going through thorough feedback face to face, advise on drafting compelling supporting statements and preparing for interviews.
As part of our giving back scheme, TPP offer various additional free services to non-profit organisations. One of the most popular is our free boardroom hire, last year, 188 different organisations were able to benefit from this and overall have saved the sector £50,000 in hiring costs.
Within my first 2 weeks at TPP, I attended two events with the Institute of Fundraising which were hugely beneficial in giving me insights and a more comprehensive understanding of fundraising. If I am completely honest though, the best part about these events have been the ability to network and meet interesting people who are passionate about their field of work. There are many other free services that you can find out more about here but I would love to draw your attention to an exciting TPP Quiz Night coming up on the 6th of March where the successful team can win £1000 for their charity – if you are interested (and quick!) then you may still have time to enter a team, just give me a call!
Overall, I’d say – working at TPP is the best decision I ever made. If you are looking for a new role, looking to recruit new members of your fundraising team or want to find further information out about other free services contact me on
