Treasurer (Trustee) – The Royal College of Radiologists

The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is the leading professional membership body for clinical radiologists and clinical oncologists, and a registered charity supporting doctors throughout their careers. With over 18,500 members in the UK and internationally, the RCR sets standards, delivers education and training, and influences policy to improve patient outcomes.
We are seeking a Treasurer to join the Trustee Board, bringing financial leadership, constructive challenge and sound judgement at a pivotal time for the College.
The role
The RCR’s Trustee board is responsible for defining RCR policy, agreeing business plan and ensuring the effective management and administration. As Treasurer you will provide strategic financial oversight and assurance, working closely with the Chair, Chief Executive and Executive Director for Business and Resources.

You will be motivated by public benefit and comfortable operating in a complex, member-led organisation.
Time commitment
Ten half-day board meetings per year, plus one awayday and up to three optional trustee development sessions. Regular finance, investment and audit meetings averaging around two hours per month. Attendance and presentation at the AGM is expected. Meetings are normally held in London although many are hybrid and it is possible to attend virtually.
Terms
This is an unremunerated voluntary role. Reasonable travel and subsistence expenses are reimbursed.
