People Advisor to join a collaborative People team supporting a diverse workforce during an exciting period of organisational development and change. Working closely with an experienced HR Business Partner and Director of People, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service across the organisation while contributing to a range of systems, policy and process improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys employee relations, building strong relationships with managers and contributing to the continuous improvement of people practices within a values-led organisation.
The Role:Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you'll provide practical, proactive and solutions-focused HR support across the organisation, helping managers navigate day-to-day people matters and ensuring a positive employee experience.Key responsibilities include:
- Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Managing a range of employee relations casework including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters.
- Supporting managers to make fair, consistent and compliant people decisions.
- Assisting with policy reviews and the implementation of employment law changes.
- Supporting the ongoing development of HR systems, including HiBob.
- Contributing to HR process improvements and people-focused projects.
- Working closely with the HR Business Partner and wider People team to deliver an excellent employee experience.
About You:We're keen to hear from HR professionals who have experience in a generalist HR environment and are confident handling employee relations matters.
Experience within the charity, not-for-profit, arts, education or wider purpose-led sector would be advantageous. You'll bring:
- Experience in a HR Advisor, People Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
- Sound employee relations knowledge and confidence managing casework.
- A good understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and adaptable approach.
- The confidence to work independently whilst recognising when to escalate more complex issues.
- Sound judgement and the ability to balance organisational needs with a positive employee experience.
