PARENT/CARER BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP VOLUNTEER

Job Title: PARENT/CARER BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP VOLUNTEER

Hours: 8:15am – 4pm (Saturday or Sunday) 

Reporting to: Parent/Carer Facilitator

Based at: Sittingbourne (5 weekends a year) and Broadstairs (1 weekend a year), Wrotham (2 weekends a year), Bexley (1 day programme twice a year), Sheppey (1 day programme twice a year)

Job role: 

• To help out at the Parent/Carer Support Group

 Duties and responsibilities:

• Help setting up tables and chairs and resources for activities;
• Assist in providing food and drinks for attendees;
• Join in group discussions as you feel able and supporting attendees with emotional issues;
• Co-facilitate group activities;
• Lead activities and provide information on grief to attendees as you feel able depending on experience.

You will be required to attend supervision and debrief at the end of the day.  We pay 45p per mile, provide free training, food and refreshments and a t-shirt with our logo on.
