Management Accountant to join a well-established international charity. Working closely with senior finance colleagues in the UK and overseas, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting budget holders, and helping shape the future of the finance function.
Key responsibilities - Produce monthly management accounts from journals through to financial statements
- Complete month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Carry out detailed variance analysis against budgets and prior year performance
- Prepare financial reports and board-level information
- Support annual audit processes and statutory reporting requirements
- Work collaboratively with finance colleagues across multiple international locations
- Provide financial support and insight to budget holders and non-finance stakeholders
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting
We're looking for someone with - Newly qualified or part qualified, in an accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong month-end management accounting experience within the charity sector
- Understanding of UK GAAP and Charity SORP (FRS 102)
- Experience preparing management accounts from source data through to reporting
- Knowledge of journals, accruals, prepayments and bank reconciliations
- Excellent analytical skills and experience of variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience of audit processes and working with auditors
- Knowledge of tax regulations including VAT, payroll etc.
