We are recruiting for an experienced International Student Adviser to support a busy higher education institution during a key period of student activity.

This role will focus on providing high-quality immigration advice and support to prospective and current international students, helping them navigate the UK student immigration system and ensuring an excellent student experience throughout their journey.

Whilst familiarity with UKVI processes is important, CAS issuance is not a core requirement for this position.  Instead, the successful candidate will have experience advising international students on visa-related matters and supporting them through a range of immigration queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date immigration advice to international students.
  • Support students with visa-related enquiries, including Student Route applications, extensions and general immigration matters.
  • Advise on the implications of changes to study circumstances, including interruptions, withdrawals and programme changes.
  • Manage appointments and respond to student enquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Deliver guidance sessions, workshops and induction activities for new international students.
  • Work collaboratively with Registry, Admissions, Student Services and wider university teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure advice is delivered in line with relevant guidance and best practice.


About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working as an International Student Adviser, Immigration Adviser or within a UKVI-focused student support role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK student immigration regulations and visa processes.
  • Experience supporting international students within a Higher Education environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • A student-centred approach and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.


What You'll Receive

  • Hourly rate of pay equivalent to £34,610 - £37,694 per annum.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days on campus in South West London.
