Are you an organised and proactive HR Administrator who enjoys being at the heart of a people function?

We're looking for an HR Administrator to join a small professional membership body, taking ownership of day-to-day HR administration and providing a responsive, professional service to employees and managers across the organisation. This is a standalone role where you'll become the internal face of HR, working closely with an external HR consultancy that provides specialist employment advice and support when required.

Supporting a workforce of approximately 50 employees, you'll play a key role in ensuring employee records, policies, systems and people processes are maintained accurately and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and building strong relationships across an organisation.

The Role
As the first point of contact for HR-related queries, you'll coordinate a wide range of people processes across the employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding through to learning and development, absence management and policy administration, you'll ensure that HR operations run smoothly and employees receive a high-quality service. You'll also manage the day-to-day relationship with the outsourced HR consultancy, ensuring advice is effectively implemented and information remains up to date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR enquiries.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Supporting recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and preparing offer documentation.
  • Coordinating onboarding, inductions, probation reviews and leaver processes.
  • Maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Supporting absence management and HR reporting.
  • Coordinating learning and development activities and maintaining training records.
  • Producing HR management information and people data reports.
  • Managing the relationship with the external HR consultancy.
  • Ensuring confidential information is handled with discretion and professionalism.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
  • Has previous experience in an HR Administrator role.
  • Enjoys supporting the full employee lifecycle.
  • Has excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Is confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Has experience maintaining HR records and documentation.
  • Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of processes.
  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
  • Ideally holds, or is working towards, a CIPD qualification.
Why Join?
  • A varied and rewarding standalone HR role.
  • The opportunity to become a trusted point of contact across the organisation.
  • Exposure to all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Support from an experienced external HR consultancy.
  • The chance to make a visible impact within a small and collaborative organisation.
This role would suit an experienced HR Administrator who thrives in a standalone environment, enjoys building relationships and takes pride in ensuring that HR processes, policies and employee records are well managed and up to date.

Interviews: w/e 23 October and w/c 26 October. Please note, applications will be reviewed and submitted as they are received, so early application is encouraged.
