Are you an experienced finance professional looking to use your skills to support a charity making a real difference in local communities?
We are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join a small, supportive charity team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of finance processes, working independently and contributing to an organisation that supports families and communities facing significant challenges.
Working closely with the Head of Finance in a two-person finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations.

About the Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing invoices, payments and income
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Supporting management accounts and financial reporting
- Raising invoices and monitoring outstanding payments
- Processing monthly payroll for approximately 48 employees, including a significant number of sessional staff
- Administering pensions and payroll reporting requirements
- Supporting audit preparation and wider finance activities
- Providing financial support and guidance to colleagues across the organisation
What We're Looking For
- Experience working within a charity finance environment (essential)
- Strong bookkeeping, accounts or finance administration experience
- Experience processing payroll
- Previous experience using QuickBooks (essential)
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to learn quickly
