We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Manager to play a key role in delivering high-quality financial planning, forecasting and business insight across a respected membership-focused organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across an organisation with annual income of approximately £20 million. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage a small team of Finance Business Partners and play a key role in supporting senior leaders with financial insight, forecasting and strategic decision-making.
As the Finance Manager, you will be required to:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities across the organisation.
- Manage, coach and develop a small team of Finance Business Partners, ensuring the delivery
- Take responsibility for forecasting and modelling income budgets of a similar scale, approximately £20m+, ensuring robust assumptions and clear financial insight.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Lead quarterly forecasting processes and support annual budget planning
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, acting as a trusted business partner
- Provide challenge and support to budget holders and senior leaders
- Manage and develop members of the finance team
- Support the effective management of multiple income streams and associated financial reporting
We're looking for someone with:- A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Significant experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience managing, modelling and forecasting income budgets of approximately £20m or a similar level of organisational complexity.
- Previous experience leading and developing a small finance team, with responsibility for prioritisation, coaching and performance management.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent financial income modelling and advanced Excel capability.
- The ability to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders.
- Experience within a professional membership body, charity, awarding organisation or other not-for-profit environment would be desirable.
- Experience working with income streams such as membership subscriptions, qualifications, events, publications, deferred income or partial VAT environments would be beneficial.
