Job role: Examinations Administrator
Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Duration: Temporary – Minimum 12 weeks
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
Pay Rate: £16.69 per hour + holiday pay
Working pattern: 5 days onsite
As an Examinations Administrator, you will:
- Play a key role in supporting the exams team, ensuring the smooth delivery of in-person examinations and assessment processes.
- Working closely with the Examinations Manager (Operations) to provide effective administrative support to the team.
- Providing administrative support for in-person examinations.
- Assisting with the preparation of examination papers.
- Administering special examination arrangements.
- Supporting quality assurance processes and assessment administration.
- Providing administrative support to the Assessment and Regulations team throughout the academic year.
- Acting as the first point of contact for student enquiries related to in-person examinations.
- Supporting PhD submissions and postgraduate research administration.
- Collaborating with Registry colleagues to maintain a high standard of service, ensuring a positive experience for both staff and students.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Recent administrative experience in higher education, ideally within exams, registry, programmes, or a related department.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, with the ability to record and manipulate data effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service to students and staff.
