Community Services provide a range of community care facilities, outreach and integration services to the most vulnerable people in the community who need advice, support or care because of their particular needs.
Working to re-engage service users with the community, by providing a person-centred approach to reaching those most disengaged from services and the community, and ensure that care and support for individuals is maintained to a high standard. Outreach services can include a wide range of social and leisure based activities so a person feels included and involved in their community.
Flexibility is a key skill when focused on community support services as the work can include unsocial hours such as evenings and weekends. Being a car driver is a common desirable client requirement we are now seeing in the social care sector.
