Marketing is an important part of any organisation, ensuring that the company effectively delivers their objectives through the use of messaging and manage their brand’s reputation. Over the last few years, TPP has recruited for an increasing number of Policy Officer and Policy Manager jobs, as organisations increasingly recognise the importance of external affairs. If you are a qualified marketing professional TPP can offer competitive career opportunities across leading non-proft and publoc sector organisations.
Occasionally, roles have been combined to cover both Public Affairs and Policy.
For most Policy Officer or Manager jobs, the main responsibilities include developing strategy, managing operational delivery, maintaining relevant relationships with stakeholders internally and externally, and managing effective processes on influencing policy.
Although candidates do not need specific qualifications to get a Policy Officer or Policy Manager job; a degree is beneficial and an understanding of how the UK’s decision making and policy development processes work is essential. Policy Officers and Managers should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to manage effective relationships through negotiation and facilitation.
