We recruit a variety of Teaching positions within a range of educational organisations such as Universities, Further Education Colleges, Educational Charities and Charity run Schools, often including Hourly Paid Lecturers. This includes a number of subject areas with TPP accommodating a proactive search including around typically difficult areas to source candidates for, including STEM, Engineering and Computer Science.

In addition to the above the Education team also recruit to a host of Tutoring roles and Research positions.

Skills Required for Lecturing and Teaching Jobs

Teaching staff in charities, further education colleges and training providers are often vocationally focused. Having a PTTLS, CTTLs, DTTLS or Level3 Award in Education and Training as well as a background in your specialist subject are normal requirements for these roles.

You can also be an Assessor of vocational subjects if you have the relevant qualification such as a D32/33, A1 or TAQA as well as a qualification in the area and up to the level you wish to assess in.

Key subjects include Construction Trades including Painting and Decorating, Drylining, Multiskills, Plumbing, Plastering, Bricklaying, Electrics, Carpentry and Joinery, Window Fitting and Scaffolding. Also Health and Social Care, Childcare and Early Years, ICT including software, hardware, networking and websites, Motor Vehicle Repair, Hair and Beauty, Retail, Customer Service, Business Admin, Management and Leadership and Warehousing.

Alongside vocational tutors and assessors are Functional Skills tutors who provide students with the relevant level of Numeracy, Literacy and ICT tuition in order to help them succeed in securing a role in their chosen profession.

Jobs in Universities

Where Universities are concerned, we’re able to supply teaching staff to support Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, CPD, as well as Distance Learning. We also recruit to Hourly Paid Lectures (HPL).
