Roles within Assessments and Examinations are fundamentally to measure learning, skills, and understanding of users or students.  Assessment enables users to demonstrate that they have fulfilled an objective of their course or qualification and have achieved the required standard. 

Responsibilities and Duties for Assessments & Examinations Roles

Assessment and Examination professionals test skills through various methods, such as on-screen, multiple choice and face to face assessments.  It’s common for professionals within this sector to have in-depth experience of venue coordination, management of testing centres remotely and working closely with invigilators and assessors in ensuring quality assurance standards are met for both internal standards, but also to meet external regulatory body standards. Post assessment, examination responsibilities include the issuing of certificates and awards, the moderation of results in ensuring any abnormalities are investigated and that all results submitted are accurate. 

Skills Required for Assessments & Examinations Jobs

Strong administrative and customer service skills are an essential requirement for most roles within assessment and examinations as you will be dealing with enquiries, complaints and special requirements such as Accessibility to Exams and Special Dispensation requests. You will also need excellent organisational skills, be able to manage/ coordinate several projects simultaneous and be able to prioritise.
