We’re pleased to invite you to our upcoming Altogether Better D&I webinar: Being Political at Work: Courage, Clarity and Confidence in a Polarised World.

As non-profit organisations continue to strengthen their commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion, HR teams and hiring managers play a central role in putting these into practice including navigating complex cultural, social, and political conversations while maintaining fair, inclusive, and compliant people processes.

This session will provide guidance to help HR teams and hiring managers navigate these situations, exploring key questions such as:

• What does neutrality mean in practice for HR policies, recruitment, and employee relations?
• How can HR professionals support respectful dialogue while maintaining organisational culture and consistency?
• What does confident, responsible people leadership look like during periods of heightened debate or differing views?

Equity-led HR consultant and leadership advisor Woosh Raza will share practical insight on how non-profit HR and hiring managers can approach sensitive issues in the workplace with integrity, confidence, and care - supporting inclusive environments while maintaining professionalism and balance.

About the speaker

Woosh Raza is the driving force behind Into the Orbit Ltd, an equity-led people and culture consultancy on a mission to reshape organisational culture. He helps businesses build environments where inclusion is woven into the fabric of the company.

Recently ranked #2 on HR Magazine’s Most Influential list for 2025, following features in 2023 and 2024, he brings over 15 years of experience to the table. He has held Executive Director roles and led change across a spectrum of industries from national charities to the creative sector.

As a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and trustee of the Charities HR Network, Woosh balances strategic rigour with human empathy. He is a fully accredited ILM Executive Coach who challenges leaders to govern with authenticity. Woosh also hosts the Rainbows and Bullshit podcast, creating space for candid discussions on life and leadership.

Through Into the Orbit, Woosh partners with a growing list of large organisations and household names on a retained basis, to ensure their practices are equitable and inclusive. Current clients include Alzheimer's Research UK, teenage Cancer Trust, British Heart Foundation and ZSL London Zoo.
