Northeast (UK) Community Pathways Trust is a new, community-rooted charity dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and children across the North East of England who are facing hardship, crisis, or those who are homeless or facing homelessness. We’re passionate about creating welcoming spaces, building connections, and offering hope to those who need it most.

As we grow, we’re looking for a Voluntary Secretary to join our Board of Trustees and help shape the future of our work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be an active member of our Board of Trustees, guiding the charity’s direction and ensuring we stay true to our values and mission.
  • Support the smooth running of meetings: prepare agendas, take minutes, and help us stay organised.
  • Help plan and deliver community events, and work alongside partner organisations to maximise our impact.
  • Get involved in our warm, welcoming events—like our Books, Brews & Biscuits afternoons—where people can connect and find support.
  • Keep accurate records, including tracking donations and ensuring items reach those in need.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Someone organised, friendly, and community minded.
  • No previous trustee experience needed—just a willingness to learn, a steady approach, and a genuine desire to help build something meaningful for local people.
  • Passion for supporting people in crisis, those experiencing homelessness, or families facing hardship.

What You’ll Gain:

  • The chance to shape a new charity from the ground up.
  • Experience in governance, community development, and partnership working.
  • The reward of making a real difference to people’s lives in your community.

We’ll be starting our work and events in Blaydon, Gateshead, and Newcastle, with plans to expand across the North East as we grow.

If you’re ready to help us bring hope and support to those who need it most, please apply by emailing: NEUK.Community.Pathways.trust@gmail.com
