Volunteer Complimentary Therapist

Where: The Manor Hotel, Singlewell, DA12 5UQ

When: Mondays / Tuesdays / Thursdays / Fridays

Commitment (how often): At least one day fortnightly, preferably weekly

Duration (times): Afternoon

What tasks will be undertaken – “What will your role involve?”

• Delivery of complementary therapies to patients, their carers and people who are bereaved
• Provision of therapy in an outpatient setting, in a fit-for-purpose clinic room
• Provision of therapy on the Inpatient Ward at ellenor hospice

Skills required – “Will the role suit me?  Yes, if you are…”

• Level 3 diploma in any of the following: massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, and reiki 2^nd degree as a second modality
• Preferably 2 years post qualification experience
• Fully insured
• Belong to an Association
• CNHC registered (ellenor to reimburse for this on first registration if not already registered)

Complementary therapy volunteers are at the forefront of this essential patient service. They provide vital support to the ellenor complementary therapy staff, providing important hands-on therapies to patients, carers and bereaved.
