About the Role
 
As a Product Developer, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining products that are compliant, innovative, and aligned with the organisation’s strategic roadmap. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, manage projects, and ensure qualifications meet the evolving needs of the further education sector. Key Responsibilities
 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain products and services that meet regulatory compliance and customer needs
  • Project manage product developments, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation
  • Maintain accurate records and project tracking tools
  • Respond to technical queries and provide training/support to stakeholders
  • Support portfolio planning through market research and data analysis
  • Produce and review product documentation in line with regulatory requirements
  • Champion the organisation’s products at internal and external events, building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Continuously improve product processes and contribute to the wider team’s success
 
 
Skills / Experience Required
 
  • Previous experience in product development within an awarding organisation (ideal), or teaching experience in further education (FE)
  • Strong understanding of the changing FE landscape
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience (essential)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., GCoR) and product design/development
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills
  • High level of digital literacy (Microsoft Office and other digital tools)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently
  • Commitment to customer service, equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Creative, self-motivated, and eager to engage in ongoing professional development
 
 
Interview Process
 
  • Two-stage interview process, including a digital literacy assessment and/or a role-specific task
  • First stage interviews from 19th November 2025
  • Role-specific task for second-stage candidates to be completed by 1st December 2025
  • Second stage interviews: 3rd–5th December 2025
