Volunteer Role: Poppy Appeal Organiser - The Royal British Legion

Make a difference in your community and support the Armed Forces family.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the Poppy Appeal locally – be the main contact for your area.
  • Look after poppy stock – order, store and hand out poppies and materials.
  • Support volunteers – help recruit and organise local collectors.
  • Manage donations – keep money safe, bank it promptly, and record totals.
  • Promote the Appeal – help raise awareness in your community.

What You’ll Bring

  • Friendly, organised and confident working with people.
  • Comfortable using email and basic online tools.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting the Armed Forces community.

Time commitment

It’s an all-year-round volunteer role, with opportunities to fundraise and raise awareness throughout the year. With most activity in the weeks before Remembrance Sunday
