Due to continued success in winning new contratcs, an exciting new role has been created within this small business of just 8 staff for an in-house Recruiter.  You will focus on recruiting and onboarding self-employed tutors for students in alternative provision settings, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
 
You will be based in lovely offices in Paddington.  This is a part-time role, 3 days a week with 2 days on-site. 
 
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Developing best-practice recruitment and direct search strategies to attract specialist self-employed tutors
  • Overall accountability for leading and driving the talent acquisition strategy across the organisation 
  • To include proactively identifying and building relationships with suitable candidates (posting job adverts, applicant registration and transition through compliance, responding to applicant queries, sending invitations to interviews etc.) 
  • Maintaining excellence in safeguarding with each registration 
  • Ensuring that tutor coordinators are kept up to date with the progress of candidate applications  
  • Collaborating with the internal education team to match tutors to students based on subject, location, and specialist needs 
  • Conducting initial interviews and vetting to ensure candidates meet safeguarding and quality standards  
  • Supporting the head of operations to ensure smooth running of the onboarding process for each candidate 
 
What’s required for this role:
  • Experience of talent sourcing ideally from the education sector OR someone with the skills below who understands SEMH / SEND environments
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-building skills (both written and verbally) 
  • Self-motivated and can work autonomously
  • Understanding of safeguarding and compliance in education recruitment 
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills 
  • Familiarity with SEMH or SEND environments is a plus, but not essential
