The Role:
A leading London University are seeking to appoint a part-time
Head of Research Management Operations - this role is central to the success of the Law School. You will work closely with the Research Director, the Law School Manager and the Dean to support
world-leading research in Law. They will contribute to and help to realise our research strategy including
advising on external research funding pre- and post-award in conjunction with the universities
Research and Innovation Division.
You will play a key role in preparations for the next
Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise, ensuring timely collection and reporting within the Law School and feeding into institution-wide processes.
You will
manage internal research funding allocated by Research Committee, and you will oversee, through their team, the
administration of our PhD programme and financial management and reporting.

What’s required:- Candidates must have extensive administrative experience in Higher Education, and excellent knowledge of the UK HE funding landscape including the operation and requirements of the REF.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential as well as experience of producing high quality reports and data to support decision-making, as is a commitment to learning and using automation and innovation to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Financial management experience, and experience of initiating and building networks, are desirable.
