Position: Volunteer Gardener

Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Volunteer Gardener. As a Volunteer Gardener, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our garden spaces.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the planning and design of garden layouts.
  2. Plant, water, and weed garden beds according to seasonal requirements.
  3. Prune trees, shrubs, and other plants to promote healthy growth.
  4. Monitor garden health and identify and address pest or disease issues.
  5. Maintain garden infrastructure, including pathways, fences, and garden structures.
  6. Assist with composting and waste management efforts.
  7. Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to ensure the garden meets aesthetic and functional goals.

Requirements:

  1. Passion for gardening and horticulture.
  2. Basic knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and kneeling.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Willingness to learn and adapt to different gardening practices.
