TPP Recruitment is supporting a respected awarding organisation to recruit an Assessment Production Lead. This is a fully remote opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation that supports learner success across the UK through high-quality qualifications, apprenticeships and assessment products. The role offers the chance to lead assessment production activity, manage a small team, and play a key role in maintaining quality, compliance and delivery standards.
 
 
Salary: £38,000 - £44,900 per annum, depending on experience
Employment type: Permanent
Working arrangements: Fully remote
Working pattern: Full‑time, 35 hours per week

About the Role
 
As Assessment Production Lead, you will oversee the end-to-end production of assessment materials, ensuring assessments are developed, quality assured, published and delivered accurately and on schedule.
 
You will act as the central point of coordination between assessment specialists, subject matter experts, product teams and external partners, ensuring assessment products meet regulatory, organisational and customer requirements. The role also includes line management responsibility for two Assessment Developers and leadership of assessment production projects across multiple qualifications and assessment types.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Lead the end-to-end assessment production process from planning through to publication
  • Develop and manage production schedules, milestones and delivery plans
  • Monitor risks, dependencies and project progress to ensure successful delivery
  • Oversee assessment platform set-up and assessment deployment
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accessibility requirements
  • Manage version control, audit trails and governance processes
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, subject matter experts and external stakeholders
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and support implementation of new technologies
  • Line manage and develop two Assessment Developers
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and professional development activities
  • Manage assessment production resources and budgets
  • Represent the organisation at meetings, events and sector activities where required
 
 
Skills / Experience Required
 
  • Experience of assessment or examination production within an awarding organisation
  • Understanding of standard setting processes and assessment performance data
  • Knowledge of assessment lifecycle management and item banking systems
  • Understanding of assessment regulations and accessibility requirements
  • Strong project management and delivery skills
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and complex delivery schedules
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience identifying and managing operational risks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous team leadership or line management experience
  • A commitment to inclusive working practices and excellent customer service
