TPP Recruitment is supporting a professional body within healthcare with the recruitment of an
Assessment Officer to join their assessment and credentialing function on a
six-month temporary basis, starting as soon as possible.
This is a great opportunity for someone with
strong coordination experience who enjoys working in a process-driven environment, while also being comfortable navigating change and supporting the rollout of
new curriculum and assessment activity.
Benefits Package - Salary: £15.66 per hour (equivalent of £28,500 per annum)
- Contract: Temporary, 6 months
- Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
- Working arrangements: Hybrid – typically once per month in the London office

About the Role As Assessment Officer, you’ll sit within a
small operational assessment team, working closely with the
Senior Assessment Officer, and supporting the
Head of Assessment & Credentialing with the launch of a
new curriculum and assessment, including eLearning elements.
This is a role that requires
efficiency and accuracy in equal measure. The role involves working within established procedures, alongside using initiative, sound judgement and a willingness to ask questions to ensure work is carried out accurately and effectively.
Key Responsibilities - Supporting the delivery of assessments, ensuring processes are followed accurately and within agreed timelines
- Providing hands-on coordination and administrative support to the assessment and wider curriculum teams
- Managing a shared Outlook mailbox, categorising enquiries, ensuring they reach the right colleagues, and following up where responses are outstanding
- Supporting the onboarding and coordination of assessors, including working with a digital contract management system
- Maintaining accurate records, tracking data and supporting reporting activity, particularly using Excel
- Assisting with the preparation of documentation for assessment activity and internal processes
- Supporting departmental projects, including the introduction of new systems and the rollout of new curriculum content
- Working closely with the Senior Assessment Officer and Head of Assessment & Credentialing to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Skills / Experience Required - Previous experience working within an assessment function at a Royal College or similar professional body is highly desirable
- Experience in a coordinator or senior administrative role, ideally within assessment, education, membership or professional body environments
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently without compromising accuracy
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (including filtering and handling data), as well as Outlook and Word
- Confidence managing inboxes and enquiries, with a proactive approach to follow-ups and stakeholder communication
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to sense-check or escalate queries
- Comfortable working within set procedures, while understanding that not every scenario fits neatly into a manual
- Organised, confident and not afraid to ask questions
