We are recruiting on behalf of a University, for an experienced Apprenticeship Assessor to join their Apprenticeships team as soon as possible.  This is a temporary role initally for 3 months and is a fully remote role other than once a month in the office for a team meeting.

You will need to have your own laptop and a stable internet connection at home to undertake the work.

The role is full-time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, to start asap.

The hourly rate is equivalent to £36,500pa 

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assessor who can quickly pick up an existing caseload and support apprentices throughout their learning journey, ensuring they remain engaged, compliant and on track to successfully complete their programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of apprentices across their apprenticeship programmes.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews with apprentices and their employers.
  • Review, assess and provide constructive feedback on learner submissions and evidence.
  • Monitor and approve Off-the-Job Training hours, ensuring compliance with apprenticeship funding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate learner records using an e-portfolio system.
  • Support apprentices to achieve key milestones and remain on track for successful completion.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience working as an Apprenticeship Assessor, Skills Coach or Learning Coach.
  • Experience managing a caseload of apprentices.
  • Experience conducting apprenticeship progress reviews.
  • Experience using OneFile or a similar e-portfolio system (experience with Aptem would be highly advantageous).
  • A good understanding of apprenticeship standards and Off-the-Job Training requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
Desirable
  • Experience assessing or delivering Management apprenticeship qualifications.
  • Experience within Higher Education or a university environment.
