Frequently Asked Questions

Due to our extensive network we have temporary workers ready and available to work. We will discuss timeframes with you and depending and lead times will depend on the nature of the role.

We certainly do. Your Consultant can advise on this during the initial briefing to ensure we attract remote workers for your role.

  • Right to work verification - We confirm that temporary candidates have the legal right to work in the UK. This involves checking passports, visas, or biometric residence permits.
  • Employment history and references -  For temporary workers we request references from past employers to confirm experience and reliability.  For roles involving regulated activity (e.g. working with vulnerable persons) we comply with the enhanced requirements of Regulation 22 of The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 which require us to obtain copies of relevant qualifications, 2 references prior to introduction or supply.
  • Criminal Record Checks (DBS) - If the role involves regulated activity (e.g., working with vulnerable groups), a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory, which we can facilitate.
  • Terms of business -  We outline our responsibilities and candidate expectations by obtaining a signed Candidate Agreement.

Our charges are based upon the total of the cost to us of engaging and supplying the candidate and include their hourly rate of pay, and the following statutory charges:

  • An amount equal to any paid holiday leave to which the candidate is entitled in connection with the Working Time Regulations 1998 and, where applicable, the AWR, and which is accrued during an assignment
  • Any other amounts to which the candidate is entitled under the AWR, where applicable
  • Employer’s National Insurance contributions
  • Employer’s auto-enrolment pension contributions
  • And any travel, hotel or other expenses as may have been agreed with you or, if there is no such agreement, such expenses as are reasonable, plus

our service fee (negotiated with TPP consultants), which is calculated as a percentage of the Statutory Charges

There is no obligation to provide temporary workers with any advance notice of an end to an assignment and you may choose to discuss this with them as part of your own policies concerning the hiring of temporary personnel.

Where possible as much notice as possible should be given, allowing them to secure future opportunities.

Yes. There are obviously times where the temporary worker will no longer be available, so where possible please give us as much notice as possible.

We run a weekly timesheet process, and this requires hiring managers/approvers to sign hours by 4pm on the Monday of the following week the work was done.

Approvers will receive an email from the Timesheet Portal when candidates submit their hours.

The Agency Workers Regulations 2010 (AWR) were introduced in the UK to ensure fair treatment for agency workers.

These include rights from day one (such as access to shared facilities, information on internal job vacancies), and rights after 12 weeks in the same role (equal treatment to permanent staff in terms of pay, working hours, annual leave and rest breaks/ night work limits).

Your Consultant will liaise with you on this during the assignment.

If the role requires specific equipment for them to perform their role, or to ensure security and performance is adequate, then you should provide the necessary equipment to perform their role. As per our client terms of business, you are liable for arranging it's return at the end of the assignment.

Temporary workers must agree to our Candidate Terms of Business Agreement, covering confidentiality within assignments. You can also request for a temporary worker to sign your own data protection policies if applicable.
