Student services is the department of services that provide support for students within higher education to enable students to have adequate support whilst studying at a university or further educational colleges. Student services departments aim to provide a full range of services and resources to support prospective students from application through to graduation.
Roles that sit within student services include: student recruitment, includes international recruitment and UK recruitment, which is usually a targeted role aimed at increasing student numbers and widening participation for universities, advice and wellbeing, including accommodation information, guidance and advice, counselling services, disabilities and dyslexia advice and support, student finance support, advice and guidance in relation to university fee’s and accommodation, careers information, advice and guidance, employer engagement, and employment support including work placements. Libraries, research and learning resources; providing library, learning technology, manuscripts, archives and special collections services to students.
