TPP Recruitment enjoy supporting the sector we work with and believe this gives us a better understanding and empathy which is reflected in our commitment of service to both our candidates and clients. Our team all have five paid days a year to volunteer that can be used flexibly, some staff have longer term commitments and others do ad hoc volunteering. We thought it would be great to share with you what the team has been doing to give something back.
Tracey George – COO
Our COO, Tracey George, has recently started volunteering as a Mentor with Leaders Plus – a social enterprise dedicated to supporting leaders with babies and young children to progress their careers, therefore making a significant impact on the Gender Pay Gap.
The Leaders Plus Fellowship is a multi-award-winning 9-month intervention designed to help talented individuals stay in the leadership pipeline and continue to develop their careers while enjoying their young families.
The Fellowship offers access to a cross sector peer network, career acceleration workshops rooted in research about career progression, senior leader mentors, workshops with key supporters (e.g. their line manager and their partner if applicable) and support to drive change within their organisation.
The aim is to support individuals to progress in their careers and build a positive movement for change so that new parents can thrive in leadership roles.
Tracey will be supporting this programme by mentoring a carefully matched fellow over a nine-month period, which she is confident will be both rewarding and developmental for both parties.
Hannah Strauss – Consultant
Goods for Good UK is a small registered charity which is making a big impact supplying vital toiletries, hygiene essentials and food items to NHS staff, food banks, asylum seekers, refugees, vulnerable families and the homeless during this COVID-19 crisis.
Hannah Strauss has been helping Goods for Good with their social media, raising awareness for this marvellous charity and supporting them to raise the funding needed to make it all happen. Hannah has set up a small group of social media champions, young people willing to spend some time volunteering and trying to make an impact. Together, they have come up with some great social media campaigns and helped to raise significant funds as part of their crowdfunding campaign, enabling them to reach more vulnerable members of society. Hannah and the team are continuously looking for volunteers and donations so if you are interested, please get in touch, visit: www.goodsforgood.org.uk.

Angela has volunteered her time to support a couple of churches in Selsdon and Morden helping the church community to come together virtually to follow mass, and to have online conversations with people in the community. Angela helped to put together a live telecast so the community can connect with each other while self-isolating.
