TPP - Our timeline

Our Timeline

TPP WAS FOUNDED

Founded in 1996 as ‘The Principle Partnership’ in order to provide a ​high quality recruitment service to the not for profit sector.

The initial focus was on four core teams supplying both temporary workers and permanent staff in the Fundraising, Finance, Executive and Office Support areas.

Jayne Morris joined the company.

Moved to Tooley Street.

Added  Executive Search and Selection  and Healthcare teams. Marketing and Communications branched from Fundraising to form an independent team.

Tracey George joined the company.

Launched our series of free CPD seminars.


Acquired Newman Personnel, a well-established, highly reputable, privately owned commercial recruitment organisation.

Company rebranded as TPP to reflect changes within the business. Two distinct divisions were created; TPP NFP (not for profit) and TPP Newman (commercial).

Added Education team.

Rob Hayter and Russell Carr joined the company.

Moved to Lime Street.

Launched our recruitment trainee scheme to develop new consultants.

Acquired by TPP Recruitment LLP. Jayne Morris, who has been with TPP since 1999, became a partner of the LLP and CEO. Tracey George was promoted to MD.

A conscious decision was made to return to the original not for profit business concept. The Newman brand dissolved and all efforts went into strengthening and expanding client relationships within the third / public sectors.

Sophie Butler joined the company.

Moved into offices in Cannon Street. Major investments were made into staff development and training, hiring new staff and expanding our marketing and support functions.

​Launched our TPP Giving Back services, including free advertising for volunteer roles and free use of our boardroom.

Added Social Care team.

TPP North Office opened in Newcastle.

​Introduced a new Billing Manager role to encourage career progression.

Created a mobile-specific version of our website.

Awarded the Investors in People Standard for the way we develop, support and motivate our team.
​We also became the first not for profit sector recruitment specialist to achieve REC Audited status, the gold standard for recruitment.

Won the Institute of Fundraising's first Partners in Fundraising award.

Jayne Morris took part in Goldman Sachs' 10000 Small Businesses programme.

Rebranded as TPP Recruitment and created our set of company principles to guide our employees.

Introduced our innovative flexitime scheme, allowing consultants to work in patterns that suit them.

TPP South Office opened in Bristol.

Introduced our Leadership Academy training course to develop consultants.

Today TPP has 8 core divisions and a diverse workforce committed to delivering the best possible service to both our clients and candidates.
