Are you an Employee Relations Advisor who is looking to work for an academic institution?

A Member Institution of the University of London, an independent and historic college, is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join its team for a period of 4 months.

You will work as part of a wider HR team, and reporting to the Employee Relations Manager you will play a critical part in offering day to day casework support to managers leading on formal ER processes.

Pattern of work: Hybrid - 3 days based in the office
Salary: £39,250

Your day to day duties will include

  • Supporting the Employee Relations Manager on looking after a complex set of ER cases
  • Arranging, and attending meetings and taking minutes
  • Offering managers people centred solutions on basic ER cases and queries
  • Working o update the policies relating to change management and ER cases
  • Preparation of all documents relating to investigation reports including complex letters
  • Being the first point of contact in the ER Managers absence

The skills you will bring to the role of Employee Relations Advisor will include

  • Prior experience and knowledge of handling ER cases
  • Excellent clear and written communication
  • Knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Experience of working in similar role ideally with education sector

The role is based on beautiful modern offices, with free gym access. A short 15 train ride from London, train links are available from Moorgate, Kings Cross, or Finsbury Park. A free shuttle bus is available from the station to the office and back again.
