TPP volunteering 2016

We enjoy supporting the sector we work with and believe this gives us an empathy which is reflected in our commitment of service to both our candidates and clients. Many people within TPP like to support charities in their spare time and as part of our TPP Giving Back programme, they receive paid leave for volunteering.

Joanne Harrington, Divisional Team Leader volunteered for CALM on 18th November.

Joanne Harrington, Divisional Team Leader and Glen Manners, Business Manager at TPP volunteered at Caritas Anchor House on 17th November. They delivered a workshop on staying positive with your job search, interview techniques and hints and tips on CV formatting.                                                                    

Sophie Butler, Divisional Director volunteered for the Pegasus Children's Project at their family gathering  on the 17th and 18th August. 

Rob Muddiman, Divisional Manager is going to be volunteering on the 26th July with Trekstok at the Carnaby Street Food Festival.

Sophie Butler, Divisional Director volunteered for Big Dance on 21st July for one of their summer events.

Rob Muddiman, Divisional Manager ran the British 10K on 10th July with a PB of 54minutes, 10 seconds. He ran for Trekstock which are a charity that offers emotional and practical support to young adults in their 20s and 30s with cancer.

Louise Atkinson,  Compliance and Central Support Office ran a muddy 5k in aid of Cancer Research UK on 10th July.

Dianne Duberry, Client Relationship Manager volunteered with her son on 2nd July for the 12th Enfield Cub Scouts clearing the grounds at their new site.

Rob Hayter, Recruitment Director, Donovan Whittaker, Consultant and Emily Birch, Senior Consultant at TPP volunteered with Spark! on the 30th June. They volunteered at Dormers Wells School, helping students with their first mock interview.

Sarah Maloney, Consultant at TPP volunteered at Prisoner's Advice Service. 

Sophie Butler, Divisional Director at TPP is volunteering for Action Against Hunger on the 17th June at the Taste London event.  She will be involved in running the Shop and Drop area selling raffle tickets for their Food Lovers Raffle. She will also be involved in stewarding at the Action Against Hunger exhibition stand at the event. 

Rob Muddiman, Divisional Manager at TPP will be volunteering at The Carnaby Street Eat Festival on Saturday 23rd July for Trekstock.

Diane Duberry, Client Relations Manager at TPP volunteered at the London Marathon for the 3rd year running, as part of the elite runner rescue team. Diane will be at mile 18 on the South side of Marsh Wall near South Quay station, with plenty of mars bars for the tired runners. 

TPP staff volunteered for the Orchid river run on April 20th 2016.               

Rob Muddiman, Divisional Manager at TPP took part in Trekstok's big bucket challenge on the 4th March in Brixton.           

Tracey George, Chief Operating Officer at TPP, ran the Original Hampton Court Half Marathon in February 2016. Some of the race entry fees are donated to charities, including Esher College Africa Trust

Ashby Jenkins, Consultant at TPP, volunteers with C4WS at their jobs club to help homeless people get back into work. 

Brigitte Stunder, Resourcing Consultant at TPP, volunteers for GoodGym. GoodGym is a community of runners who get fit by doing good. Brigitte runs from work to an elderly person's home and then spends an hour with this person, chatting over a cup of tea. The objective is to spend some time with someone who is isolated or lonely and create a lasting bond. 

Samantha Johnston, Consultant at TPP works as a mentor for the Aspire Foundation. The mentoring program partners the expertise and experience of women and men in the business and corporate world with 'MAD' - 'Making A Difference' women in charities and social enterprises that are impacting women and girls.

Mentors work over the phone or Skype and share their ideas and suggetions of what has worked for them with regard to their career, management and leadership experience and they will provide mentees with support to apply it to their specific role, career and organisation.  


Sophie Brewer,  Consultant at TPP, took part and volunteered at Quaker House Homeless Shelter helping with visitor healthcare and serving hot food.

Tracey George, Chief Operating Officer at TPP held a coffee morning for Macmillan, raising £250.

Laura Fox, Central Support Manager raised over £500 for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in November.

Donna Newton, Client Relations Manager at TPP volunteered for the Dogs Trust in December. Donna helped pack hampers delivered to homeless people with dogs. You can find more information on the Dogs Trust Hope Project here

Some feedback received by the Dogs Trust 
"I would like to thank the Dog Trust team for the fantastic donation of Christmas parcels for our service user's dogs, the parcels have just been delivered! For over 23 years we have been on the streets, 365 days a year, reaching people living in the most desperate and destitute situations. The items that you have generously donated to us will be gratefully received by the dog owners we work with, especially as it is cold and wet outside."

Rob Muddiman,  Divisional Manager at TPP, completed the Great North Run in aid of The Cystic Fibrosis Trust on September 13th. This was Rob's first half marathon in over 10 years. You can find out more about Rob's fundraising here.

TPP in action for  The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy  #workoutatworkday.  Staff also did a London Bridge loop walk at lunchtime.

June 2015 - Joanne, Emily & Brigitte volunteered for the JDRF Ride to Cure.

Katie, Hannah and Sadika from TPP are taking part in the Gherkin Challenge for NSPCC in September. Find out more about this fundraising event here.

Ellisa Thompson from TPP's Regional Recruitment team will be offering CV and interview advice to 6th form students at St Mary's school, Newcastle in June.

TPP raised £250 for the British Red Cross Nepal Earthquake Appeal.

Penny Raven & Joanne Harrington volunteered as marshals for the ORCHID River Run on the 29th April.

Jayne Morris, CEO of TPP became Trustee at Home-Start Elmbridge.

Ellen Drummond volunteered for Sara's Hope Foundation, helping organise their annual ball.

Jamie Reynolds held a CV writing workshop, giving advice and general help on applying for jobs with a group of young people for MAC-UK.

Kristina Preston volunteers every friday as a coach for a community cheerleading squad, Inspire All Stars. Kristina also volunteers on their holiday camps and is competing  with them at the Olympic Copper Box in June at the UK Nationals competition.


TPP staff goes red for red nose day.

Eniola Egbaiyelo volunteered through Inspire at Clapton Girls Academy. Giving advice to young girls on how to write CVs, complete application forms and general information on their next steps after school.

Tracey George volunteered through Inspire at  all-girls Parliament Hill School at their Careers Carousel events. This event is for year 9 students to gain confidence in talking to a wide variety of professionals, whilst gaining acess to information on a range of careers relevant to their interests and aspirations. The session aims to help students to make informed decisions about their future learning and work options. 

TPP staff wear Christmas jumpers for Save the Children.

Luke Ounsworth is a befriender to a child through Barnardo's. Luke meets the same child every 3/4 weeks and takes him on days out, including trips to the London Eye and on a speed boat up the Thames.

Sara O'Hara will be volunteering at the Monte Carlo Ball on 22nd November to raise money for The Dream Factory.

Tracey George participated in a spinathon in aid of Cruse Bereavement Care.

Khilna Shah volunteered at Holloway Prison with the drugs strategy team from Phoenix Future. Read about her two days here.

Amelia Cogger took part in the Global March for Elephants and Rhinos.

TPP staff get their jeans for genes on, raising over £110 for the charity jeans for genes.

Tracey George ran the Visit Richmond Half Marathon to support the Mo Farah Foundation.

Louise Atkinson took part in the shine walk half marathon for Cancer Research UK.

Our latest dress down day raised £180 for the ActionAid ebola outbreak emergency appeal.

Joe Marsh volunteered for Leyton Orient Trust. Joe dressed as a dragon and entertained and signed autographs for the children.

Louise Atkinson raised £350 for Cancer Research by taking part in the race for life.

Penny Raven volunteered at the Bear Hunt World Record Attempt for RNIB.

Glen Manners volunteered at Pentonville HMP, via Phoenix Futures.

Sophie Butler volunteered on behalf of the Sumatran Orangutan Society, raising awareness at the Spotlight Sumatra exhibition.

Sophie Butler held a Malamute night in, to raise money for Malamute Rescue and now sponsors a dog.

Emily Birch & Russell Carr took part in bucket collections at the NatWest t20 Blast v Hampshire cricket match at Kia Oval for Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

Kristina Preston volunteered at the Inspire Allstars cheerleading camp.

Laura Fox took part in ActionAid's Live Below the Line campaign and only spending £1 a day on food for a week.  You can find out more on Laura's fundraising page.

Donna Newton, a regular volunteer for Alaskan Malamute Rescue, conducted a home visit to vet a suitable adoption candidate.

Emily Birch helped support runners taking part in the London Marathon for Sue Ryder.

Sarah O'Hara is volunteering for Your Dream Factory throughout the year.  In March, she sold raffle tickets at their Kids Fun Day.

Laura Fox, Emily Birch and Nina Szyprowska from TPP participated in a quiz night to raise money for GOSH.

Colleen Speers, Sarah O'Hara, Emily Birch, Laura Fox and Liz Franks from TPP spent a night sleeping rough as part of the YMCA's Sleep Easy event and raised over £860.  See the photos from their night here.
