Responsibilities & Duties for Trusts / Statutory Fundraising Roles
Trust Fundraiser jobs involve generating income through detailed written applications to grant making trusts. As Trust Fundraising plays an important part within the wider fundraising strategy, you will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a wider fundraising team.
Statutory Fundraising jobs focus on obtaining funding from government led organisations and institutions. More specific examples of those who would be targeted are: Department For International Development (DfiD) , Department of Health (DoH), United Nations, International Governments, or Lottery sources. Statutory fundraising jobs are very similar to those of a Trust Fundraiser except the application forms can be more specific and more detailed.
Skills Required for Trust / Statutory Fundraiser Jobs
These roles involve a high level of research and a deep understanding of specific programmes or services provided by the charity. Fundraisers are required to develop and nurture relationships with funders through regular reporting and feedback on income investment. It is essential that you have strong numeric and literacy skills and are able to write engaging answers in relation to the applications.
