Management Accountants usually sit alongside Financial Accountants, reporting to or supporting a Finance Manager, Head of Finance or Finance Director.
Skills Required for Management Accountant Jobs
Most Management Accountant jobs usually require a CIMA qualification or at least part qualified status or an ACA / ACCA qualification. Career progression can include roles such as Finance Manager, Business Analyst or any financial role where strategic input is a substantial part of the role. They should demonstrate excellent communication and planning skills, be able to forward plan and have the ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders in matters relating to the financial management of the organisation.
