Responsibilities & Duties for Special Needs Teaching and Support Jobs
- Ensuring pupils engage with the learning materials and work towards the aims of the National Curriculum as much as possible
- Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons which aim to help children/students meet and exceed their expected levels of achievement
- Working as part of the larger school community including working with parents, colleagues and other external agencies
Skills Required for Special Needs Teaching and Support Jobs
You must have QTS, (NQTs are mostly welcome to apply but check individual job adverts), and have recent experience within UK schools for teaching roles. In either instance, experience with the relevant SEN or similar would be advantageous. You must also be willing to complete, or already hold, a valid DBS certificate and have at least 2 years of references.
