|Job Title||Youth Education Marketing Volunteer - EXPIRED|
|Job Published||28 Jan 2015|
Would you like to be part of a happy band of volunteers that are helping to save lives at sea without even getting wet? Would you like to be the person that helps us to find new opportunities where we can raise the awareness of the youth education team and promote even more education messages in schools and youth groups?
Volunteering as part of the RNLI’s Education Team is an important role within the charity as we aim to save the lives of young people through our fantastic education programme. A message given today could be a life saved tomorrow.
This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who has an inquisitive mind and can help us to research new opportunities within a local area where a member of our education team can promote our vital water safety messages and help to save the lives of our young children.
In this role you would learn all about the types of resources which are available for different youth audiences and as such, the role would aim to promote these resources when seeking out new opportunities.
There would be lots to learn including understanding how the RNLI’s youth education presentations can feed into the national curriculum. This awareness could be developed whilst you are in the role and will assist in targeting the approaches that are made accordingly.
Just as we give all our lifeboat crews the right training and equipment to carry out their lifesaving work, we provide all of our volunteers with the necessary training and support to carry out their role effectively. You will have access to a range of online learning materials, as well as opportunities for one to one support from fellow volunteers and RNLI education specialists.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for someone with good communication, bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to be proactive in the local area. Experience of interacting with young people would be useful and, to take on this role you will occasionally need to travel within the locality. If you are interested, you should be IT literate and having your own access to emails would be helpful.
Please join us in making a difference to the safety of young people.
If you are interested in this opportunity please get in touch. You can apply online at http://rnli.org.uk/volroles
