|Job Title||Volunteer Local Event Supporter - Durham area - EXPIRED|
|Contract Type||Temporary / Interim|
|Job Published||05 Nov 2015|
|Contact Name||Volunteers Team|
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Our lifeboat crews rescue 23 people a day, while our lifeguards patrol more than 200 beaches in the summer. In 2013 alone 8,384 people were rescued.
Would you be able to offer your support and contribute a little of your time, energy and skills helping at local RNLI fundraising events? Your help will ensure we can take advantage of this great opportunity by increasing support within the community and raising vital funds needed to keep on saving lives.
We are looking for all kinds of people who can offer just 2 to 4 hours each year to help out at an RNLI event in one of the following locations: Durham city centre, Bishop Auckland, Chester-le-Street, Newcastle upon Tyne city centre, Seaham, Spennymoor and Washington.
You don’t need to have any prior experience or knowledge of the RNLI, and we will provide everything you need on the day. All we ask is that you are enthusiastic and friendly and we will guide you through the rest – come and say hello!
This role would suit a friendly, welcoming person who enjoys being part of a team and getting involved within their local community.
