This role will help us save lives at sea by raising awareness of the RNLI group and inspiring group members to create new and innovative ways to raise funds to help save even more lives at sea.

Potential time commitment: Flexible – according to your availability

Team:  Fundraising & Communications

Location: East Cheshire

Responsible to: Community Fundraising Manager

Responsible for: The wellbeing of the fundraising branch as a whole under RNLI guidelines


  • Comply with the Volunteer Commitment
  • Encourage and welcome a diverse group of people
  • Encourage members to develop their own network of supporters
  • Lead, guide and motivate group members to deliver an array of different events.
  • Promote good communications within the Group

Measures of Success

  • Different activities planned throughout the year raising funds for the RNLI
  • To be mindful of fundraising costs vs. benefit to the RNLI
  • Growing numbers of Group members

Training and Support

  • Training to fulfil your volunteer role will be provided
  • The RNLI will aim to provide opportunities for personal development in your volunteer role.
