Job Description

The RAF Association is looking for proactive and organised individuals to be Fundraising Team Leaders. We are currently looking for volunteers across 37 locations of the UK.

The role is an exciting one, with Fundraising Team Leaders doing anything from organising a street collection, in collaboration with Association staff, making contacts and setting up their own premises collections in supermarkets or shops, where they will lead a small team, to assisting with the recruitment of other fundraising volunteers that will help our fundraising collections.

With the opportunity to make this role your own and to get out of it as much you would like, volunteers will benefit from experience in organising an event, networking and building relationships and from managing and supporting a team.

No experience is required as full training will be given, although a positive approach to getting things done and good organisation skills are required for the role.

Who are we looking for?
Fundraising Team Leaders need to be:

  • Comfortable in social environments
  • Approachable, cheerful, friendly and a strong communicator
  • Enthusiastic and able to motivate and lead others
  • A good problem solver and able to respond calmly and sensibly to last minute changes or unplanned situations
  • Highly organised

In addition Fundraising Team Leaders will need to:

  • Have access to a car and be prepared to use it for RAF Association volunteer work
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time or to arrange seating if necessary

Expenses will be paid to cover out of pocket expenses in line with RAF Association policy and uniform t-shirts, sashes or tabards will be provided.

Volunteers should be 18 years of age or over.
