|Job Title||Volunteer Fire Risk Assessor - home based with some travel - EXPIRED|
|Contract Type||Temporary / Interim|
|Job Published||29 Apr 2016|
|Contact Name||Volunteers Team|
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We provide, on call, a 24 hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service. With our lifeboats, lifeguards, safety messages and flood rescue we are committed to saving more lives.
The RNLI is looking for a volunteer to support the Regional Technical Manager in the role of Fire Risk Assessor. The Fire Risk Assessor will conduct and record (using the RNLI’s electronic format for which training will be provided) fire risk assessments at RNLI premises to agreed schedules and assist in the promotion of fire safety management at locations visited. The role will be home-based with regular visits to various RNLI premises, possibly with occasional overnight stays.
You will have the opportunity to help the RNLI meet its fire safety obligations, having a positive contribution to ensuring the safety of volunteers and staff. You will also have role-specific training, the chance to interact with people around the UK and Ireland and be able build on your existing knowledge. If you are a team player with good time management skills and previous experience in fire safety, this could be the role for you.
This is a good opportunity to support our motivated and enthusiastic local teams and have the satisfaction of contributing to saving lives at sea.
