Woman's Trust is a counselling service for women affected by domestic violence.
Our requirements are that counsellors need to be in personal therapy for 1 year minimum, follow the Person-Centred/Humanistic approach, be in their second year of a Diploma course and have one year experience of working with clients (30 - 40 supervised client hours or equivalent experience).
We are always interested in counsellors who have a commitment to this area of work.
Woman's Trust has an application process for counsellors interested in placements - counsellors are able to work in West London (Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster) and East London at different times including some evenings. Evenings are most needed for the West London project.
Please note, because of the needs of women using our service, the minimum commitment is 4 clients per week. Successful candidates will also need to be able to attend Woman's Trust 2 hrs supervision on a fortnightly basis and a 3-day induction training.
The deadline for the application is: Friday 23rd October 2015 and the training dates are: 18th, 19th, 20th November 2015.
Please note: There will be a £150 charge for any applicants attending the 3 day training dates. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the placement.
