|Job Title||Volunteer Campaign Researcher - Merseyside - EXPIRED|
|Contract Type||Temporary / Interim|
|Job Published||09 Oct 2015|
|Contact Name||Volunteers Team|
The RNLI has a network of local fundraising teams organising a wide range of activities and events which last year raised £14 million to save lives at sea. Each branch and guild is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager, although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the members themselves.
Getting involved with these activities could offer you an opportunity to improve your CV, meet new people, learn new skills or just have fun with fundraising in your community. Some of our fundraising team members have been volunteering for many years, some just join us for a few months – whatever their commitments allow.
We are currently looking for a motivated individual to assist with our fundraising initiatives and we have a specific vacancy detailed below:
The RNLI Community Fundraising Manager (CFM) is looking to recruit a Volunteer Campaign Researcher to assist in developing new supporters of the RNLI Mayday Campaign in the Merseyside area; you will have full rein to develop local supporters whether they be individuals, groups or local companies – it might be that they are not aware of our lifesaving cause and therefore you will be on hand to introduce the RNLI and explain all about the annual Mayday Campaign. Throughout the project, the CFM will be close at hand to assist you in your endeavours.
The project will involve initially researching potential opportunities and creating a list of contacts which should be presented to the CFM. Once this has been agreed, you will then begin to make contact with the potential supporters, liaising closely with the CFM throughout the project.
In this role you will be home-based; however, you will also have the opportunity to spend time with the CFM to ensure that you have the required information and understanding to take the project forward. Likewise, the CFM will be on hand to answer any of your queries throughout the project.
