Job Description - EXPIRED

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Our lifeboat crews rescue 21 people a day, while our lifeguards patrol more than 140 beaches in the summer.

Join our team of dedicated volunteers who contribute their time, energy and skills collecting for the RNLI. Your help will ensure we can take on more collections within the community and raise vital funds needed to keep on saving lives. 

We are looking for volunteers with a friendly and welcoming nature who can offer their time to help collect at local stores, superstores, shopping centres and with our street collection days. Each collection requires collectors to volunteer two hours of their time collecting donations and generating support within the local community.

This role would suit a friendly, welcoming person who enjoys being part of a team and working within their local community.

This role will help us save lives at sea by raising income and s upport from the local community

Team: Community Fundraising
Location: Manchester and Stockport
Responsible to: Community Fundraising Manager

Responsibilities
  Comply with the Volunteer Commitment
  Carry out charitable collections at designated locations including supermarkets and high streets
  Adhere to collection rules for collecting in public places
  Be an ambassador for the RNLI whilst collecting
 

Measures of Success
  Being part of the team who Increases the income from collections on previous year
  Being part of the team who Increases the number of sites or frequency of collection opportunities on previous year
 

Training and Support
  Training required to fulfil your volunteer role will be provided if required
  The RNLI will aim to provide opportunities for personal development in your volunteer role.
