Why the RNLI needs this role

This role will help us save lives at sea by raising income and support from the local community.

Potential time commitment:  Flexible
Team: Fundraising & Communications
Location: Betws-y-Coed and Llanrwst, North Wales
Responsible to: Community Fundraising Manager
Responsible for: N/A

Responsibilities

  • Complying with the Volunteer Commitment
  • Servicing, maintaining and emptying collecting boxes on a regular basis and issuing a receipt.
  • Recording the amounts raised from individual collecting boxes and passing monies to the treasurer for banking or paying monies
  • into the branch using branch paying-in books supplied by the branch treasurer.
  • Seeking out new locations for collection boxes.

Measures of Success

  • All collection boxes emptied on a regular basis
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records of box locations
  • Increase in no. of collecting boxes placed vs. previous year

Training and Support

  • Training to fulfil your volunteer role will be provided if required
  • The RNLI will aim to provide opportunities for personal development in your volunteer role.
