This is an amazing, unique opportunity which will allow someone to transfer skills from a volunteer, admin, or assistant role to their first fundraising post. The role will have full responsibility for a portfolio of small trusts, but will have excellent training and development (both in-house and external) in order for them to succeed in the role.
*Achieve an annual income target to be agreed with the Trusts Manager
*Management of a portfolio of funders able to give up to £10,000
*Research on charitable trusts and foundations from various sources to identify potential funders for projects
*Develop relationships with new funders
*Upkeep of the database (Raisers Edge) to ensure all information is up to date and relevant for the portfolio
Essential criteria for candidates:
*Minimum of 1 years' office experience, ideally within a fundraising environment (internships, volunteering, administration or assistant)
*Willing to undertake training and continuing professional development
*Experience of working to deadlines
*Able to use a variety of IT products
*Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences; writing skills are particularly essential
