IDAS – Independent Domestic Abuse Services - has two trustee vacancies for people with skills and experience in either: fundraising and profile-raising; extensive knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse; environmental sustainability and/or charity governance. These part-time unpaid posts in North Yorkshire are vital to ensure the work of IDAS happens and will continue to happen into the future. The board is composed of a quirky range of people from various backgrounds, who enjoy working hard as a team because we know that what we do makes a real difference.
Our staff support over 4000 victims and survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence across all of North Yorkshire and York each year. It’s an exciting time to join us. We are expanding; we offer an increasing range of services and will soon extend our services into South Yorkshire. Domestic abuse is at last being acknowledged across society and the government is committed to supporting services for victims and survivors.
We also want a more diverse Board, so if you feel you have something unique to contribute, be it through your ethnicity, gender or culture for example – please don’t hesitate – just apply!
All applications are welcome: the important thing is to have the right personal qualities, time and commitment to the service we provide. For more information and details of how to apply please go to https://www.idas.org.uk/get-involved/volunteer-for-idas/
We value diversity at TPP and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
