Do you have experience of working in the mental health arena or experience of working as a charity fundraiser? Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people with mental health problems?
Wandsworth and Westminster Mind, based in Pimlico in London, are looking for two new trustees who can think strategically and complement the strengths of the existing Board of Trustees. You would be working with other trustees who have different skills, knowledge and experience but who are all committed to the mission of the charity. It's an interesting role in which you can help formulate plans to enable the charity to address the challenges and opportunities that exist in a vital, yet increasingly complex and financially challenging area of health care. We aim to deliver the best mental health services for those who live and work in Wandsworth & Westminster and our neighbouring boroughs.
The main commitment as a trustee would be to participate in Board meetings which are usually held at our premises in Pimlico in the evening and last 2-3 hrs. We have five regular Board meetings annually and we hold a Board Development Day at least once a year. We are specifically looking for people with either a clinical mental health background (including child and adolescent mental health) or a fundraising background.
