Solace Women’s Aid is a London based charity working primarily with women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence. The organisation has grown significantly over the last few years and we are keen to recruit talented members to join our active and committed Board of Trustees.
Candidates will be strategic thinkers and at this particular time we are looking to attract applications from those who can demonstrate specific expertise in accounting (either a qualified accountant or qualified by experience). Knowledge of charity SORP would be an advantage. We particularly welcome applications from Black and Minority Ethnic Women as they are currently under-represented in our trustee membership.
Successful candidates will be required to attend 4 board meetings and two away days each year as well as participate on a board sub-committee. Trustees can claim reasonable out-of-pocket and travel expenses but are not otherwise remunerated.
To apply please go to http://solacewomensaid.org/about-us/work-with-us/ download an application pack and follow the instructions. The closing date for applications is 12noon Tuesday 7th February 2017. Interviews will take place on the week of the 20th and 27th of February 2017.
Solace Women’s Aid values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We encourage and welcome applications from women of all backgrounds. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and open to women only (exempt under the Equality Act 2010).
We value diversity at TPP and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
