Job Description - EXPIRED

Changes Bristol is a small mental health charity that runs peer support meetings for adults suffering from mental distress. We have been operating as a charity since 2007. Although a small charity, we run 10 support meetings every week of the year along with social events, workshops and online support. Despite a small income we help over 400 individuals with mental health problems every year and run over 350 meetings.

Changes Bristol is now recruiting for new trustees to join the board and help move the organisation forward.

Being a trustee is a responsible and rewarding position helping the governance of the organisation. There are possibilities of specific roles within the organisation such as Treasurer. The responsibilities are varied and it is important that any candidate is able to work as a team with other Board members and are willing to learn or have knowledge of their charitable and legal responsibilities
What are we looking for?

We are looking for people to join the board with a variety of skill sets. We particularly welcome people with lived experience and from a diversity of backgrounds.

The Board is responsible for the strategic direction of the charity and policy making and improvements along with financial oversight.

The roles are all voluntary and unpaid but they are extremely rewarding. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise and experience in the following areas:

General business
Mental health
Voluntary sector
Health and social care
Lived Experience

If you think this could be for you and you would like to apply, please email us at or call 01179 411 123 for further information and an application form.

We welcome applications from people with lived experience, disabilities and ethnically diverse backgrounds.

TPP is committed to equal opportunities and actively encourages applications from all sectors of the community. We shortlist based on competencies and not on race, religion, sex, physical or mental disability, or age.
